There are various reasons to why a person might turn to gambling, some are more severe than others. One of the biggest reasons why people gamble is because of the addiction. The scary fact about gambling is that it is known as a silent addiction. Most people do not realize that they are addicted to gambling (Keith, 2005). Even the ones that do know their gambling problem are less likely to admit it. Research shows that the people who admit to their gambling problem, have a way higher chance to quit gambling than the ones who won’t admit to their addiction. The Australia government has seen a steep drop in gamblers in the past 3 years because of the extra government funding for gamblers (Australia Gambling and Research, 2006).

You should watch out for run-on sentences. The first sentence you can add a conjunction and right after the comma. In sentence 6, you do not need the comma there.
