My research essay will be about ADHD in teens in high school. It is a common condition that causes inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity, or both. The topics discussed will be the causes of the disorder and progress in school. The causes of this disorder are environmental, genetic, and from brain injury/damage. There are also myths about ADHD such as being the result from bad parenting. There has been research done finding out that “Teens with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are more likely to drop out of high school or delay completing high school than other kids, a new study has found “(Consumer Health News, 28 July 2010). There is also treatment the most proven treatments are medication and behavioural therapy.
