Option 1 works best for me. Options 2 and 3 do not work for me.
Thank-you!

Re: IMPORTANT: OPTIONS FOR SECOND HALF OF SEMESTER
Thanks Nancy.
Why don't the other options work? Do you have other exams or tests that make those options more difficult?

for Pre-Community Service class (WED. 8-11)
We have 2 exams (worth 20% each) and an assignment (worth 25%) due week 15. I'd go with option 3. Plus, the size of the class will allow us to prep for the exam quicker... finishing "early" would be nice.

Monday from 12pm - 3pm
Hi Mr.Brown,
Well the majority of our section today voted for option 1 and I'm very pleased
To answer your question, I chose the first option simply because everything kind of flows into place without really cramming things together. Considering that our Monday section has missed quite a number of hours, it would be beneficial to use you and our class time as much as possible to address any issues we may have with our research essay and upcoming exam. Option 1 also has the essay due before the exam which I think is something that'll help me and many others avoid procrastination BIG TIME! For the students in pre-health, we don't have any exams. Our only exam is for English followed by a series of tests for our other classes that take place between weeks 14 and 15. So I guess that's why option 1 was unanimous!
Take care!

Wednesday from 8am-11am
I chose option 2 because it seems more beneficial in terms of which of the two 20% (exam or essay) I can have some control over to boost up my grades. With the given length of preparation for the exam, we only have 1 week of preparation no matter what. I rather get over with the exam and at least focus on my essay if I don't do well on the exam.
